De moslims liepen niet achter op de wereld vanwege hun vasthouden aan de islam. Integendeel, hun achteruitgang begon de dag dat zij dit vasthouden aan de islam verlieten en toelieten dat de vreemde cultuur hun landen binnendrong en de westerse concepten hun geest bezetten. Zij vervielen toen zij het intellectuele leiderschap van de islam verlieten, de oproep tot de islam (Da’wah) verwaarloosden en de rechtsregels (Ahkam) verkeerd toepasten. Daarom moeten de moslims de islamitische levenswijze hervatten als zij willen dat de opstanding (naHDah) plaatsvindt. Zij zullen echter niet in staat zijn de islamitische levenswijze te hervatten, tenzij zij de islamitische oproep tot de islam (Da’wah) voortzetten door het intellectuele leiderschap van de islam te dragen, en door deze oproep tot de islam (Da’wah) een islamitische staat vestigen, die op haar beurt het intellectuele leiderschap van de islam zal dragen door de islamitische oproep voort te zetten.

The Muslims did not lag behind the world due to their adherence to Islam. On the contrary, their regression commenced the day they abandoned this adherence to Islam and they allowed the foreign culture to enter their lands and the Western concepts to occupy their minds. They declined when they abandoned the intellectual leadership of Islam, neglected its da’wah and misapplied its rules (aHkam). Therefore, the Muslims must resume the Islamic way of life if they want the revival (naHDah) to occur. However, they will not be able to resume the Islamic way of life unless they carry the Islamic da’wah by carrying the intellectual leadership of Islam, and establish, by this da’wah an Islamic State which in turn will carry the intellectual leadership of Islam by carrying the Islamic call.
